Hair: Going Ombre

I have never experimented with my hair other than the length and have been toying with the idea of Ombre for quite some time.

My previous hairdresser tested a couple of my locks and wasn’t happy with the final result but after relocating and having my hair styled at my new salon, (which happens to be where I also get my nails and HD brows), they were happy to advise and suggested a few bleached and then toned sections of hair underneath.

I tend to get my hair cut every 2-3 months depending on its condition and thought it was the perfect opportunity to take the plunge!

The process:

  • Firstly, Gemma cut the amount we agreed to take off.

  • She then selected a small amount of hair underneath.  This was then sectioned and bleached.

  • Several magazines and a hot chocolate later, the bleach was then washed out.

  • Toner was applied and then rinsed out.

To finish:

Gemma then cut the hair properly and created subtle layers to add volume and blow dried with loose curls.

The Products:

Gemma suggested I continue to use my current hair products (TIGI Bed Head Urban Antidotes Re-Energize Shampoo & Conditioner; Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Intensive Mask, Organix Moroccan Argan Oil and Aussie Dual Personality Hi Hold Hi Shine hairspray).

A big thank you to Gemma and Headmasters, Chester for making me feel welcome and relaxed in your stylish salon.
