Beauty Special: The Beauty Project – Selfridges

Selfridges are currently hosting one of their biggest events to date: The Beauty Project celebrating beauty in all forms.

The Beauty Project: Change is a Beautiful Thing by Kathryn Ferguson

I recently attended the event in the Trafford Centre, Manchester.  There were only 500 tickets available costing £10 which was redeemable against any beauty product.

On collecting my ticket, I was presented with a charm bracelet that entitled me to complimentary food and drink around the department.

My first stop was the Tom Ford counter.  I was yet to try his signature fragrances or cosmetics and oh my… Firstly, the Black Orchid Eau de Parfum is simply stunning.  With its seductive and sexy scent, no wonder so many celebrities are wearing it.  Then there was the make-up… I actually attended the event make-up free to which I received so many compliments when I tried #06 Firecracker Lip Color Sheer.  The white packaging is limited edition and the texture of the lipstick is more of a matte finish.  I actually went away to other counters, drank, ate and the colour remained intact so I knew it was a must have!

Next was the Shu Uemura counter where I finally got my hands on their popular eyelash curler and received some samples of their cleanser/makeup removers.

I also visited the Jo Malone counter to see the Calm & Collected team at work on their screen-printing tables creating labels for some of Jo Malone’s most popular scents.

The Beauty Project will run until the 12th June so if you haven't already, go and check it out!
