Hair: Reverse Method

Although my hair is long, it is fine which means it is difficult to style and lacks in volume.

I recently read an article by Women’s Health UK that suggests the reverse method (where you condition your hair before you shampoo) so I thought I would put this to the test.

Women’s Health UK suggests: ‘wet your hair, work in conditioner and leave for five minutes, then wash out and shampoo the hair before rinsing.’

I have been using this method for about a month now and can notice a slight difference.  This could be a mixture of things such as the products I have used and also skipping at most a day in between each shampoo.

I also had my hair cut recently and asked my hairdresser what her thoughts were on this method.  She said that she personally doesn’t recommend this, however, there are plenty of dry shampoos that achieve instant volume and won’t break the bank.  I had a good amount cut off the ends and subtle layers added to give my hair a bit of movement.  These are also simple steps that help to give your hair a lift.
