Beauty: My Product of the Month #12

Facial cleansers should be an essential part of your skincare regime.  Using a cleanser can help keep your skin looking clear and nourished whilst fighting the effects of make-up.  The challenge, however, is when you need to re-evaluate your skincare needs.

I have combination skin which means that sometimes my T-Zone is a little on the oily side.  In order to balance my skin and keep it oil-free but hydrated, I use a cleanser, toner, moisturiser and eye cream.

When looking for a new facial cleanser, here are a couple of pointers to remember:

  • You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg.
  • Try a product that can both clean and moisturise – this will help you not to over-cleanse.

Vichy’s Purete Thermale One Step Cleanser ticks both of these boxes.  The product comes in a 200ml tube and is £6 cheaper than my initial cleanser.  It can be used to cleanse, tone and remove eye make-up.

I still use fragrance-free baby wipes to remove my eye make-up then simply wash my face and dab dry then apply a small amount of the cleanser onto a cotton wool pad/ball leaving my skin feeling instantly calm and smooth.

I have never had a go-to eye cream but I would highly recommend Vichy’s Idealia Eyes (for tired-looking eyes).

This cleanser, for me, is the crème de la crème and I cannot wait to try more of Vichy’s products!
