Beauty Special: Jo Malone Rock The Ages

Jo Malone recently launched their Limited Edition Rock The Ages Collection - five colognes inspired by periods of British history:

Tudor Rose & Amber (Tudor Britain), Lily of the Valley & Ivy (Georgian Britain), Pomegranate Noir (Victorian Britain), Geranium & Verbena (Edwardian Britain) and Birch & Black Pepper (Britain today).

Tudor Rose & Amber is not your usual rose scent - more rich, dominating and sensual and I feel to be evening appropriate.

Lily of the Valley & Ivy, for me, is redolent of Spring and when paired with Blackberry & Bay Body Creme creates a delicate, fresh and feminine scent.

Pomegranate Noir is a permanent fixture but perfectly embraces The Golden Age with it's refreshing, spicy and smoky notes.

Geranium & Verbena is my least favourite of the collection.  It is very green and citrussy but allows you to picture the beginning of a modern era, particularly in fashion.

The Birch & Black Pepper cologne is certainly the most intriguing - an obsessive and inviting scent that completely embodies Britain today.

The packaging is beautiful and each bottle has it's own elegant ribbon design.  The bottles are available in two sizes, 30ml (£42) and 100ml (£140).

Rock The Ages is overall the most appealing and defiant collection yet.
