Style Special: Sustainable Fashion - A Collaboration with Dimples Diaries

Two years ago, an eight-storey garment factory in Bangladesh, known as the Rana Plaza, collapsed due to structural failure which killed and injured thousands of innocent workers.

Sadly, there were other stories around this time that confirmed the fashion industry was not sustainable and proved an immense lack of support to their staff.

Since these tragic events, the likes of Stella McCartney and H&M have driven the campaign to become sustainable but there is still work to be done.

I do not believe Sustainable Fashion to be a 'trend' - trends come and go.  This is an issue that has cost too many lives and as consumers, we need to encourage retailers to become sustainable.

Take a look through your wardrobe and check your labels to ensure your clothing is made of sustainable materials such as organic cotton or recycled polyester.

You can also hand in any unwanted garments to H&M from any brand and in any condition.
