Beauty Special: Lynette Page Makeup Bar Review + Launch of Rolls-Royce Dawn

We are all guilty of purchasing a bad product based on a recommendation. For me, I have a stash of unused makeup that isn't suited to my hair, eyes or skin tone. With this in mind, what if we are able to take it back to basics?

I had the opportunity to attend Lynette Page Makeup Artistry, based in Knutsford, where Lynette has achieved an incredible amount in such a short period of time from creating her own line of products to opening the 'Makeup Bar'.

Lynette's vision is to empower women by offering a beauty consultation and makeover with her own collection based on ‘Colour Theory’.

The ‘Makeup Bar’ offers four styles:

  • ‘Express Artistry’ (for the gal on-the-go) offering a choice of two looks – ‘sleek and feline flicks or curled and soft smokes’. (£55).
  • ‘Simply Makeup’ using products based on ‘Colour Theory’. (£35).
  • ‘Bridal Beauty’ - Lynette and her team create a tailored look taking into consideration the colours of the theme, bouquet and bridesmaid dresses (starting price of £85).

I opted for ‘Red Carpet Beauty’ which focuses on big hair and bold makeup priced at £75.

Starting with eyes, Lynette used the 'Brown and Hazel 5 Shadow Palate', 'Liquid Liner - Ultra Fine', 'Natural Mascara - Jet Black' with 'Luxury Silk Lashes'.

For the face, she applied the 'Smoothing Primer' followed by 'Lightweight Foundation' in 'Cool Tones', 'Under Eye Concealer' and to finish, 'Trio Concealer/Highlight/Contour Pot'.

'Brow Delightful', a '3 Brow Palette' in 'Dark' was certainly my favourite product consisting of a brow powder; brow arch highlighter and brow wax to set the brows. It also contains a mirror, double-ended brush and the cutest pair of mini tweezers - a great stocking filler!

Finally, lips were given a gorgeous, nude colour with 'Waterproof Lip Liner' and 'Lipstick' in 'Cool Tones'.

I must note that all brushes used were cruelty-free; made of ultra fine synthetic fibre and had a gorgeous, silky touch.

It was such a pleasure to be invited to Lynette Page Makeup Artistry and experience the 'Makeup Bar'. Lynette has produced a stunning range of makeup and skincare - it really is refreshing to use tailored cosmetics. To book an appointment, please click (here).

Later, I was fortunate to attend the launch of Rolls-Royce Dawn - here's a little preview!
